Introduction to Pearl Referrals

The aim of Pearl Referrals is to provide a high standard of treatment of all referred cases, without losing the personal and caring service that owners expect, and without it costing the Earth.

Years of experience in general practice means that our consultants are aware of your clients needs as well as their pets. Referring veterinary surgeons can always be sure of their clients being treated as they would treat them, while their difficult cases are being treated with expertise.

Our referral service is based in brand new premises, with dedicated ophthalmic, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery suites, ultrasound suite, hydrotherapy suite and MRI facilities. All referrals are seen at Shrewsbury Pet Hospital:

Pearl’s Referring Practice Rebate Scheme

We believe that the referring vet should get something in return for their time spent arranging a referral for their client, apart from the peace of mind  in knowing that their client and patient are being well cared for. For this reason we operate a simple rebate scheme.

All cases referred to Pearl Referrals (excluding physiotherapy referrals) result in a £40.00 payment from us to the referring practice. Total referrals in each month are calculated and a single total amount is paid to the referring practice at the end of each month.

Pearl’s Simple 3 Step Process to Referring a case

Complete the ‘Case Referral Form’ and fax to Pearl Referrals (or call us to discuss). We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving this form to confirm the referral and will then liase directly with the owner to arrange an appointment (or through you if you prefer).

Pass the ‘Client Information – Bringing Your Pet To Pearl Referrals’ leaflet to your client.

We will follow through with your client post-op and report back to the referring vet throughout treatment.
